Robert McCoy, Ph.D History: Dr. McCoy
is currently teaching at Washington State University in
Pullman, Washington. In March 2004, his dissertation was
published by Routledge. The title of his recent book is
"Chief Joseph, Yellow Wolf, and the Creation of Nez
Perce History in the Pacific Northwest.”
Dawn Marsh Riggs, Ph.D History: Dr. Riggs
is currently the Director of Archives and Collections for
the San Diego Women's History Museum and Education Center.
She is also a professor of History at San Diego State University
and Film Critic for San Diego CityBEAT. Her research interests
include Lenape history, mixed race identities in Appalachia
and indigenous sovereignty on a global scale. She is currently
working on a documentary script that will focus on the similarities
shared by indigenous women who were colonized in American
history. The story centers on the life of Hannah Freeman,
a Lenape woman living in Pennsylvania in the 18th century
and Delfina Cuero, a Kumeyaay woman living in San Diego
and the northern Baja region in the 20th century.
